Refund Policy

Who processes refunds
All purchases — Ripenote Lifetime, the occasion packs and gift keys — are sold by Dodo Payments as Merchant of Record. Dodo processes every refund under its Buyer Terms, which say refunds are decided case by case and may be refused, for example where there is evidence of fraud or refund abuse. This policy is how we handle requests on our side; it doesn't override Dodo's terms.
Our 14-day promise
If you ask within 14 days of purchase, we will ask Dodo Payments to refund you in full, and we won't ask why. In the ordinary case that is all it takes. Dodo keeps the final say under its Buyer Terms.
How to ask
- Reply to your Dodo Payments receipt email, or use the support link in it; or
- email us at contact@ripenote.com from the address you bought with, including your payment ID or license key.
Refunds go back to the original payment method. Banks typically take 5–10 business days to show the money.
Gift keys
Refunds always go to the buyer — the person who paid — never to the person who received a gift key. A refunded gift key stops working. Gift keys have no cash value and can't be exchanged for money.
What happens after a refund
- The refunded license key is disabled.
- Its features (long letters, far-future dates, extra themes, keepsake PDFs, batch modes, no brand mark) stop the next time Ripenote checks the key online. Other keys you hold are not affected.
- Capsules you already sealed keep working. They don't depend on your license — anyone with the link or file can still open them on their date.
- Opening capsules remains free for everyone, forever.
After 14 days
We don't usually request refunds after 14 days, but if something went wrong — for example, you were charged twice — write to us and we'll work with Dodo to make it right. Nothing here limits any rights you have under consumer law where you live, such as a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase.
